SICX #3 Presented by Georges Cycles

Come on out to Sandy Point for race three in the series. It will be our first of three visits to Sandy Point. Don't let high 30's and snow the night before keep you inside, those sound like great cross conditions! J Whitman and A Phipps will have some great course to keep you warm.

Results are up for the Overall here.

The final two races in the series will be 6th Annual Toys for Tots Double Whammy. Kids need toys, we all know that.
We will be accepting toys along with your race fee.  The US Marine Corp will be there Sunday to collect toys. We are asking every rider to bring a toy. You don't need to go crazy, but make sure it is a toy you would have played with as a kid.
Come on out and race!

Velo Park Results

Hey everyone! Results are up.
http://idahocyclocross.com/results

We will have points totals after the next race. Thanks for coming out for a great race weekend. We had 93 riders on Saturday and Alex laid down a great course. Sunday didn't have as good of a turnout, but the sun did bring out more riders than last weekend. For those that weren't able to stick around, the raffle was a big hit. Most people walked away with something fun. Matt Newbill was the big winner with the Yakima Rack.
Thanks again to Velomech for hooking a bunch of people up with some free tunes and t shirts. Alan also has the BH Carbon Cross frame that he is raffling off. Better odds than the lottery for sure! Buy some tickets at any of the remaining SICX races. The frame will go to it's new home at the After Party. Good Luck!

Category Alignment w/ Eagle Island Series

It has come to my attention that the categories for the two series were not in line. The master's categories wouldn't work together. I have talked with Brad S. and we have both decided to match the USA Cycling categories. They are posted on the right, and hopefully won't change 10 more times before the first race. I thought we had it last time, but this should do it.
Flame on everyone!

Avimor Weekend Moved

Due to circumstances out of our control, we have been forced to drop back and punt. Not what we wanted to do, but the Avimor race will not happen on the 26th of September. The series will still have the same amount of races, so no changes there.
The 14th of November is now a series race, and it will be held at Sandy Point. There will be a training race on Sunday the 15th. Sorry for causing so much confusion, hopefully this gives everyone the extra week needed to get ready for Eagle Island.

Southern Idaho Cyclocross Series

Welcome to the information portal for the SICX Series. It is time to start thinking Cross! The last few local mountain bike and road races are upon us, and it is time to start switching gears. There have been some changes to the race series, but the one sure thing is that there will be plenty of racing in the valley! Between the Eagle Island Cyclocross series, the SICX series and the Broken Spoke Training Races, there will be no excuse not to be ready for Nationals in Bend. You might even be cooked by then.
There were big hopes for this series, and as we move forward we are eager to make them happen.

There are three races in the Eagle Island Series with the November 7th race also counting towards the SICX Series.
Broken Spoke Cycling will have a total of 4 training races this year. Let's just say there are a lot of double weekends. Everyone should have a chance to race- no excuses.

We are working out the details and will post more as it comes. We just want to get everyone up to speed and on the same page. It is going to be a great season, come have some fun!
Stay tuned for Prizes, Sponsors and the rest of the in's and out's!
